COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protecting Act)

Definition: US federal law which regulates the online collection of personal information from children under the age of 13. COPPA specifies a Web site's responsibility for the protection of children's privacy and safety online, such as how to draft and display the Web site's privacy policy, and how to seek verifiable consent from a parent.
