How to Use Amazon Associates

Using the tools available to you in Amazon.com's affiliate program.

Amazon offers up to a 10% referral fee for all qualifying sales made through your links. The ease of use and popularity of Amazon makes their Associates Program a good place to get your feet wet with affiliate marketing. Once you’ve been approved, login to your account and you’ll see over a dozen options of building links/ads units for Amazon products.

Context Links

Let Amazon automatically identify and link relevant phrases and product mentions in your content. When a visitor hovers over the link, a window will appear to show a preview of the relevant Amazon product. Their advanced settings allow you to control how your content is linked and what products will be featured.

Omakase

Let Amazon select the most relevant products to show based on your content and user information. The products will rotate and change depending on what you’re writing about.

Banner Ads

Select from a variety of banner ads based on your preferred categories. You can put up Amazon’s ad for Gift Certificates or choose general ads for their “baby” category. Choose “Easy Links” to get updated, rotating promotions and announcements. There are many different ad unit sizes to choose from, too.
